How to add comments to a branch

Sometimes you need to write a lot in a branch.
But the main idea of mind maps is to write little. 

So, what to do? 

A user of IOctopus gave us a great idea - to add possibility to leave long text comments for a branch. That way you can continue to write short notes of few words in branches and your mind map stays compact and visual at the same time that you can add much more information to it. 

👆 It is important because short mind maps are easier to remember and perceive.

We have found this feature really useful and have implemented it. It is now possible to add a text commentary of any size, if required. 

We have tried to make this feature as convenient as everything we do. 

How to add a comment?

You can add a text comment to a branch using this button   on the top toolbar or on the shortcut menu.

1. Select a branch
2. Click on the  
3. Write a text

And the second way is:

1. Select a branch
2. Use a shortcode Alt + /
3. Write a text

Once you have written the text, you can click anywhere else or press Enter to save it.
